Testimonials
Yeah, This Sounds Too Good To Be True…
Want to hear what some of our happy dental patients have to say? We thought you would. But first, we would like to explain why we have included only their initials. We had to do this, because when we put the testimonials’ full information in, they are bombarded with calls from people wanting to talk to them. In order to not discourage testimonials, we promise everybody we will not give their identities out to the viewing public.
We know that you can imagine how much you would love to get several unsolicited calls per week from folks asking how you liked your dental experiance. Like you, our patients are busy as well. We are sure you can understand our desire to keep our patients privacy as a primary consideration. However, here is what a bunch of them have to say:
The biggest benefit of having the dental implants would be that now I can look like a human being, I can eat like one, and a hundred other things. The expense of the implants was worth it, it gave me a new lease on life and it feels good to have my teeth held in place.

The sleep dentistry was absolutely a good experience, that’s the way to go. I didn’t have to hear the drill. I didn’t have to have any kind of anaesthetic. My mouth didn’t hurt afterwards, there was no numbness, just a 100% good experience. I’ve been recommending it to people. To such a huge coward such as myself, it’s very beneficial not only to me, but to the dentist and everyone involved. I tell people it’s a good choice

No prosthetics ( dentures) is the biggest benefit, but also everything is easier, it’s all great. It feels great to have the implants hold my teeth securely in place, and the cost of the implants was worth it in everyway. The permanence of implants is worth it. If someone was thinking of getting dental implants I would tell them to do it.

I had no problems whatsoever with the Sleep Dentistry. I got everything done in one appointment, and I wasn’t worried about it. I haven’t had any problems with my teeth since, I was quite happy with the whole experience. I’m a chicken, but this way of having teeth fixed is most definitely worth it. I would recommend it for anyone who is chicken just like me.

I’m very happy that I had the dental implants done, because it feels great to finally have my teeth held securely in place. The expense was well worth it because now I have the confidence to laugh, and even bite into a cob of corn. I’ve had my teeth secured with dental implants for 15 years, it was worth putting out that kind of money. I would highly recommend getting it done.

The Sleep Dentistry was certainly painless, actually for me it was the perfect solution. I got a lot of work done in a short period of time, and otherwise I wouldn’t have had the work done. It certainly saved a lot of time. In fact I wouldn’t have had it done if I hadn’t have been able to do that. I would tell anyone that it was easy, simple, and pain free. It was perfect, it was great!

Having dental implants makes a world of difference, going from not being able to eat, to being able to eat normally sure made a big difference to me. I am quite pleased with the job and I would recommend Dr. Jacob, he’s a good man and a good dentist. Dental implants have changed my life, since I got the implants I’m just fine, I feel like a normal person. Now that I have benefited from the implants for 16 years, it doesn’t seem like it was expensive. If someone were thinking of getting dental implants done, I would suggest they go ahead and do it and go to Dr. Jacob. He did a good job and I’m sure they’ll be happy.

The Sleep sedation was very satisfactory as far as I’m concerned, I happen to be a person who is very scared of pain. I go to sleep when they do the job, and I wake up and the job is done. I find it very helpful for people who have that problem that I have, the problem of fear of dental work. There was no pain, or fear of pain, it was definitely worth it. If anyone is considering sedation, I’d tell them go for it 100%.

The biggest benefit for me for the past 11 years since the implants were placed was that I could finally chew, which I couldn’t before, it always hurt. The cost of the implants was worth it because before the implants I always had a sore mouth from my loose dentures. If someone were thinking of getting dental implants done, I would tell them to go for it.

I have had very bad previous dental experiences and was very nervous finding a new dentist. When I first saw Dr. Abells, I had to have a lot of sedation. However, over the coarse of my dental treatment, I was able to complete everything without any drugs. I want to thank Dr. Abells for his kindness and re-establishing my faith in dentistry.

Since I was asleep, I don’t remember anything about the appointment; that is good. Now I’m not afraid to go back. It was worth it. The sedation made it a good experience because I didn’t have good experiences at the dentist growing up. If you are afraid of the dentist and are considering sedation, go for it!

Having no hole in my face when I smile is the biggest benefit. The alternatives to fill the hole in my face were not appealing. I didn’t want a bridge to hurt two good other teeth. It feels very natural, and I’m still too young to walk around with a bid toothless grin. I would tell people my experience and I would encourage them to go see Dr. Jacob.

Being sedated, I don’t remember the dental work being done. All my work was done in one appointment. Now I feel more comfortable about dentistry, and I’m not really a good dental patient. If you are like me, go and do it.

Sleep sedation was excellent. I don’t know how to explain this, if it wasn’t for that sleeping I probably would’ve really panicked about having my teeth cleaned. I needed an intensive cleaning, so I’m thankful that there was such a thing. It was worth it, just to know that I can be put to sleep to have such an intense cleaning because I have such bad gag reflex. It had been a while since I was at the dentist and I had horrifying experiences at my last dentist, so I was very grateful. If you had previous bad experiences like me, I would say do it with sedation. If they can find the money to pay for it, to do it, because its well worth it

The biggest benefit of having the dental implants is that I can chew on that side and I’m quite pleased with it. It feels very good to have the implant securely hold my tooth in place. It was well worth it to get the implants even though they are costly. If someone was thinking of getting dental implants I would recommend it because the plusses are quite good.

I came to Dr. Abells with a dental emergency while on a trip to Winnipeg from Vancouver. Not only did he help me in my predicament, but I was so impressed that every time I come to Winnipeg I make a point of seeing him for my regular dental care.

Not constantly feeling like I was losing my bottom denture was the biggest benefit for me. The cost of the dental implants was well worth it, because it feels great to have them hold my teeth securely in place. I’ve already told lots of people to do it.

The sleep sedation was great. I guess I’m a gagger, so it wasn’t that traumatic for me, I found the whole experience very relaxing. I think it was worth it because usually I’m very anxious, because of the sedation I was more relaxed. If you’re really nervous, or if you’re a gagger like I am, I would say to go ahead and go for it
Carol L.
It was very good after I woke up. There was no fear having my dental work done, and I did not have to worry about anything. I’m nervous about having anything done to my teeth, so the benefit is being able to relax. I would have something like that done again For those of you like me, nervous about having anything done to your teeth, I would say it was a good way to do it.

Being able to do things like eat carrots because my bottom plate doesn’t move anymore like it did before is the biggest benefit. The expense of the implants was worth it to me in every way, I wouldn’t have gone through it otherwise. Getting the dental implants done was worth it in the end, and I’m very happy with it. I’m so glad that I actually did go through with
Kae G.
It was excellent. I am just so hyper, that just to get me there is something. You know I really didn’t worry. Now when I go again I’m going to have it done again, just for peace of mind. I’m really very hyper in a dentist office, so before at other dental offices they had to give me so many relaxers before just to get me there. Then I would panic and sometimes it was almost dangerous because I would feel like I just have to get out of the chair. So this way I’m out, and I was just very very relaxed. For worrying patients like me for sure I would recommend it.
Louise W.
The biggest benefit for me is that now I can now eat apples from the top down, and it feels wonderful to have my teeth held in place. The implants were costly, but now I know that I look good, you can’t even tell that I have implants. If someone were considering it I would definitely recommend that they go ahead and do it, it’s well worth it. It pays off in the end, and I would definitely recommend that they do it!

As I was sitting in the chair the last time I was in getting those chips in my front teeth fixed, I got to thinking of all the work you’ve done for my family over the years. I had to think of how well we have been served by you and your staff over the years and was truly grateful! So I thought I’d tell you. You really are a class act! Thank you.
Sincerely,
Eva H.
The sedation was very sound, and it was very comfortable I’m dentist-phobic, so it just made it easier that way to get the work done with less visits. I have like the 200% gag reflex, and it’s just that I have to be sedated. It just makes a huge difference between whether I want to go and if I’ll go. If that is what you are considering I would tell you to definitely go ahead with it

I wish to thank all of you for your kindness and the great job you did on my teeth. I will do my best to take care of them. All my best,
Rita O.
Thank you from the heart for the effort you put forth in making my appointments work. You don’t know how much it meant to me. Thank you for your understanding, compassion, and caring, and for your endless patience with me. You are truly not only “professionals”, but also personable and caring individuals. A small tribute to all of you. With sincerity.

The Sleep sedation was great. There was no anxiety, and it was worth it. For an anxious dental patient like me, I would absolutely recommend it. It was good.

I do not like dentists. ( Actually, it is what they do that I don’t like ) My attitude has caused me to lose many teeth over the years. I thought I would end up like my parents did without teeth and unable to wear dentures. Dr. Abells made me able to enjoy food again because of the implants he placed. Now my teeth don’t click every time I have family dinners.

I have been meaning to drop you a note for some time to express my appreciation for the excellent care you have taken of my teeth over the past many years. I’ll be turning 70this fall and I’m so pleased that my teeth are in such good shape for a person of my age. I believe that you deserve most of the credit for this. As you recall, 11 or 12 years ago you suggested that I should consider having some bridge work done and I was initially somewhat reluctant due to my age and the cost of the work. In the end I decided to have the bridges, you made 3 for me. I am so glad I made the decision to have you do that work! It has made such a difference for me. Iam now able to chew food properly and more easily. Almost a dozen years have passed since you did the bridgework for me and the bridges still seem today as good as new. I am also grateful for the gentle manner which you consistently display at all my dental appointments whether they befor routine check ups or the more major appointments such as fillings or the bridge work. It’s so nice not to have to worry about whether a visit to your office will be painful. I am always confident that you will be as gentle as possible. In closing Dr. Jacob, many THANKS for the care you have taken of my teeth over the years. I am very happy with your work and glad to be one of your patients!.

The sleep sedation was fine, I’m used to doing that. I wouldn’t have it done any other way. There’s no stress. Just not to have to listen to a drill, or feel somebody tugging around in my mouth, it was worth it. If you don’t want to remember being at a dental appointment, then by all means, go ahead and do it.
Debbie G-N.
Hadn’t been to a dentist for quite some years. Earlier years experience had made me petrified of dentists. However, I managed to come here. Dr. Jacob gave me back my smile. I am a happy person right now. Thank you so much.
Brenda M.
The sleep sedation was great. I got to take care of my dental needs all at once. I didn’t have to go back several times. It was really worth it because I didn’t have to go back and have several appointments. You can have it done all at once. People like me should absolutely have it done.
Juliette A.
